Im attracted to green because, well its my favourite colour. Mainly because it feels positive and natural and it matches my eyes :) I did have green hair at one point but I think that was probably a step too far. Here are some green things that aren't exactly what they seem....
An ice cream cone from Alresfords annual Watercress Festival. Looks like mint choc but tasted peppery and actually like watercress and vanilla :-S I tried the blue cheese flavour but it was TOO cheesey! I loved the festival because it felt so
English and traditional, and you can't beat that sometimes. There was morris dancers, stalls, live jazz music and local produce showcased by Hampshire Food Festival, which featured 'Great Taste Award' winners.
Next to trick me what this beautiful green ring by Hirsh, London. Spotted on my way back from BCN in the flight magazine I thought it was some kind of Emerald but its actually diamond. Ive always wanted an emerald ring (and emerald coloured dressed for my bridesmaids, if i ever get married), but i equally like this lighter shade of green. Beautiful!
Finally this packaging led me to believe the wrap was healthy but infact was 575 calories! After studying marketing and semiotics etc you'd think id get a grasp of what I'm buying into but I still fall into the trap. It just annoys me because packaging must trick so many overweight people into thinking the food is healthier and less calarific than it actually is. Its spurred me on to invent a better recipe of my own, which I will hopefully try over the next few days.
